T.M.L International Theatre Production cordially invites you to A Day After The Day.
I would like to invite you to the world premiere of A Day After The Day, conceived and directed by Juyoung Hong, playing at the Gene Frankel Theater December 5 – 9, 2007. Presented by T.M.L. International Theatre Productions, A Day After The Day is a multi-media performance piece based on Georg Buchner’s German Expressionist classic Woyzeck.
Adapted by renowned Korean director Juyoung Hong, the piece is a dramatic collage of visual and aural impressions and live performance that examines the inner life of Buchner’s famed dramatis personae, posing the question: What happens to Woyzeck the day after he kills his wife?
Juyoung Hong has written and directed over a dozen plays in his home city of Seoul, including two pieces produced by Seoul’s City Fund’s “Rising Director” Program, and was selected by “The Auditorium”, a Korean journal for stage arts, as one of the four most promising directors in Korean contemporary theatre.
Known primarily for his multimedia work, Hong continues to work with long-time collaborators, composer Young-Bae Lee and film-maker Suk-Young Park, on this newest production. Admission to A Day After The Day is free of charge.
